TheCall Detroit begins on 11.11.11. It will be 24 hours of prayer and fasting where we are going to bring together the races—the ethnic groups of the Church. Jesus said, “My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations [ethnic groups].” We are coming together, daring to believe that if the Church can unite in prayer, it can actually begin to be a healing for the fractured society of America. But we are also calling a 40-day fast starting the 29th of September culminating with TheCall Detroit on November 11th.

God used a black man in Los Angeles named William Seymour along with a white man named Frank Bartleman to birth the Azusa Street revival. When white and black came together, the color line was washed away by the blood of Jesus and God poured out His Spirit.

As we shared the vision of this 40-day fast with the leaders of the Church of God in Christ in Detroit, they said, “Our Bishop has called a 40-day Elijah fast starting on the same day.”

We believe it’s a sign. So we’re calling the whole nation to fast and pray for the breaking of the racial divide and racism off of our lives, bringing us together in His house of prayer for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit which is really our only hope in America.

In Detroit, we are going to call for that Elijah anointing—something stronger than the rebellion that can challenge the breakdown in Detroit and heal our economic breakdown.

We need Jesus.

We are going to join together, to pray that God would break the power of bloodshed both in the inner cities and concerning the unborn. We believe that the Church in our nation must unite together to release the sound of justice. We believe that God wants to release an Elijah fast that can break our compromise of sexual immorality.

Will you join with us—Black, White, Hispanic, American Indian—believing for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit, the healing of the city of Detroit and a sound of worship from the black community that will release the glory of God in the nation. We must raise up God’s house of prayer, the only answer to the problems of America.

We need God.

Gather the people from all over America for such a time as this.
